Paramita Chakraborty, the Director of Navaras Performing Arts & Varuna Purna Kala Srijan is a multifaceted personality and the institution speaks for itself.
For her, performing arts and dance is her first love and dedication. She has worked towards making dance accessible to all through her institutions.

Bestowed with Long-Service Award by the Authority of South Point on Diamond Jubilee Celebration. Dance Instructor of both South Point High School & Junior School, Mandevilla Gardens.
Was awarded with the title ‘Maestro Award’ by SCL Rythms, Mumbai under the category of ‘Best Teacher’.
Rabindra Cultural Programme organised by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal
Graced the occassion as a Judge of State Level Competition of Music and Dance for Chiitaranjan Locomotive.
Was selected as a Jury from Kolkata for a special reality show organised by Upasana Cultral Centre, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh.
Examiner of Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, a renowned dance and music examination center in West Bengal.
Acted as Adjudicator of Rabindra Bharati Society and at various musical and dance programmes.

Graced the occassion of Shri Shikshayatan Fest as a Judge of both Western and Eastern Dance.

Bishwa Banga Sammelan : Performed as a main dancer in this mega event. Choreographed as main choreographer & covered the programme with full camera team on behalf of ministry of Youth Welfare and Sports. Camera team made a Documentry.
Paramita Chakraborty received felicitation at USIS by American Director Mr. Scott D Hartman in 2011. She was selected as maestro for pure classical and modern free style to judge Dance Competition, A Cultural Fusion of Indian - American dance style performed by her troupe.
"WATER" the two billion people are dying for" - a beautiful programme on WATER RESERVATION on world environment day by CGWB (Central Ground Water Board). SAVE WATER, declining water level, not to loss even a drop of water. VCD done by Paramita Chakraborty, Script, Concept, Music & Choreographed & directed by Subhro Kanti Lodh. Organised by IOCl, Head of Eastern Region, Salt Lake. Excellent dance presentation by her student troupe, graced by UNESCO.

Conceived, directed and choreographed the following programme
“Prakitir Pratishod”, a dance drama based on the effects of environmental pollution. This has been telecast on DD Bangla in three episodes on the children chunk, namely “Chuti Chuti”
“Shyamal Chhaya Naibe Gele”, a composite dance programme based on Rabindranath Tagore’s songs on monsoon. This has been telecast on DD-1 and DD Bangla and was selected as the best dance programme in 1996
“Chalo Jai Chharar Deshe”, a western dance programme based on Rhymes. This has been telecast on DD Bangla in the children chunk
“Aamra Sabai Raja”, a composite dance and music programme based on a collection of Rabindranath Tagore’s writings on children psychology. This has been telecast repeatedly on DD Bangla and DD-1 at different times and has been highly acclaimed
Made modern fusion choreography for several popular "Bangla Bands", which have been staged and telecast on Doordarshan, Kolkata under "Anya Gaan".
Choreographed dance sequences of the first Doordarshan produced jatra, "Kantar Mukut" in two episodes under eminent director.
A choreography based on "AALOY AALOY RANGIYE BHUBAN" - The programme is based on the joy, ecstasy and happines, which The Goddess Devi Durga brings to her Devotees during the Saradotsav - the Durga Puja of Bengalee community.
